Good Morning, Hopefully everyone's week went well and you're excited for a Great Eagles Game Today!:) A couple weeks ago I mentioned Small Stuff... Well along those lines today I wanted to talk about Little Things... The Same but Different! It is definitely a wacky world we live in... And everyday we see and or hear about awful things happening around the world or close by. We ALL have things happening in our lives that are Trying.... Family, Personal, Health, Work..... Whatever.... There will Always be some trying things or trying times. I will Guarantee One thing that can make it ALL a Little better is Thinking about the Small Things, Appreciating the Small Things... That Starts with Paying attention to and realizing the Small Things. My Mom once said... Or probably said many times... "John, you have to stop and Smell the Roses! That phrase is actually credited to Walter Hagen and he said, “Don't hurry. Don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.”
If something not so pleasant is going on in your life it will still be there in a minute or two... But something that can make it better.... Even if just a little bit is to stop for a sec and appreciate something good that is right in front of you... Appreciate seeing some kids play or a beautiful sunset or any number of other of the Little Things that are ALL AROUND US! Stop and Smell the Roses! I know it doesn't make everything better at once. But I also know it can make the most trying circumstance just a little more bearable. Make it a point of Noticing some of those Little Things all around Us! Believe me this is not easy for me... But I Sure am working on it! Have a Great Week!
Colossians 3:15:
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”
Luke 16:10:
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
