I hope everyone had a Good week! Some Excitement in the Philly area... Phillies made the Playoffs.. Bring on the Braves and the Eagles are 4-0! Sorry to my TX friends... We know we are living in what seems like a crazy world... And many of us live in constant Fear of, This, that or the Other... I have always tried to talk to my kids about FEAR by using an acronym... FEAR stands for False Expectations About Reality... God doesn't want us to be afraid of our shadows... If there is a Bear behind us we have been given fight or flight response but lets stop being afraid of All the Things that May or May Not Happen... Lets control what we can and move forward... Well this week I heard something else to help us All... Do you know the Most used phrase in the Bible? Do Not Be Afraid! Or some version of that statement... It has been said this is found in the Bible 365 times. I didn't count them and am not sure of the number but Do Know it is used A LOT! There is a Message here. We are battled constantly by this World and Our Lives! But there is Always something we can Rely On! And Do Not be Afraid! Have a Great Week!

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Isaiah 41:13

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Psalm 56:3-4

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

I've been asked about this so you can now find this and past texts at JCWeeklyThoughts.com Feel free to pass on if you like and I am able to add people phone numbers to the text list.
